Force Intune to re-evaluate Win32 applications now

You’re sick of waiting for Intune to “just do its thing”. Everyone tells you Intune will re-evaluate the applications itself somewhere between now and the next 3 business weeks. No body has time for that.

Force Intune to re-evaluate Win32 application deployments right now:

1. Open regedit as an administrator

2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\IntuneManagementExtension\Win32Apps

3. Each GUID here represents a user. The GUID is the user’s Azure AD Object ID. The GUID with all 0’s is the SYSTEM account

4. Delete individual GUID’s as needed, or every GUID you can see

5. Restart the “Microsoft Intune Management Extension” service

6. Wait about 30 business seconds and application detection will begin automatically. You can monitor this at: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\IntuneManagementExtension\Logs\IntuneManagementExtension.log
